Denton Auto Care responded within minutes, towed my vehicle to their shop; diagnosed and repaired the problem; and got me back on the road as soon as possible. Tony and Michelle were a pleasure to work with. If you are ever in the Denton area and need quality automotive service backed by honesty and integrity, this is the place!!!

Came to get my car thermostat changed, and discovered that they stole my battery, exchanging it for an older battery which I then had to replace as well. Can’t trust you’ll leave with the same parts that you came with. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND.

The place is bad news since the previous owner sold the buisness. I am taking my 5 minutes to warn anyone considering taking your business to 404 Automotive. It is a super sad situation, as the place use to be our family's go to automotive service location. We will never take another vehicle to them again. They have lost loyal customers who try to support local businesses, due to their unprofessionalism, untrustworthiness and unreliability. The first issue was that someone did not check the fluids after servicing our vehicle. They called after the fact to say they "forgot." I call that unprofessional and unreliable. The 2nd issue came after my mother died and I inheirited her vehicle and needed to get it inspected b/c of MD requirements. I called them last Wednesday and requested an appointment for an inspection ASAP. The soonest they could even give me an appointment was Monday AM. The car was there before they ever opned on this Monday. My husband called mid-day to see when the car would be finished/ready and to let them know that our plan was to go to the Motor Vechicle Administration AS SOON AS it was ready as there were time constraints. They informed him that they could not inspect it b/c there were clothes in the back seat. They did NOT BOTHER to call to let us know that. My husband got all of the clothes out of the back seat and we waited to hear from them. Then around 3:30, he took the initiative to call them again. They informed him it would not be finished today. They would have it done by 9 tomorrow-which did not work for me. I immediate went to retrieve the car and will not give them any future business. Good luck, if you try them. ✨I had an amazing experience here! I was worried about my car's safety and stopped by right at lunchtime. Jordan at the front desk was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to check if anyone could help me immediately🥹. A huge thanks to Craig, the mechanic, who actually delayed his own lunch break to inspect my car and ensure it was safe to drive🙏. It’s rare to find such a dedicated and professional team. Thank you, Jordan and Craig, for putting my safety first and getting me back on the road so quickly!

Bad situation, and a pricey situation in any event. But I needed a transmission for my 2016 GMC Sierra. I looked up the cost of a remanufactured transmissions of a couple well known vendors. Their cost were all pretty close. The difference is the core return refund, ie whether it is paid up front. So, the core return makes a huge difference on the overall price. Anyhow, Denton Auto care quoted me a price that just for the transmission was $4500, nearly $1600 higher than the sources I looked up, no discount for the core return either. This shop tries to charge you extra every chance they get. So, I sourced my own part with a warranty. Then they still jacked up the labor about $400 higher. Then they hit me for an additional $200 to program the transmission. It's 2026. Like they didn't know that this was part of the procedure. The only reason I used them at all was proximity to where I live. They also were listed in the transmission suppliers installer pool. I won't even use them for a tire repair at this point. Nothing really against the mechanics that work there, but the management staff needs an overhaul.

I don’t recommend anyone taking them their vehicle here or to the location in Easton as well don’t get your car inspected or worked on by any of these two locations they’ll fail 3 or 4 things and then they find new things to add on just to make more money very unprofessional. This is why they have a bad name if you don’t know about cars and you like to blow your money and not ask questions knock yourself out. now all shops are like these people do your research before you drop anything off? I have had them work on my jaguar XJ8 there the only shop that are willing too work on it and they do great work no complaints of any kind. They also rent cars out which is perfect for when you need a car while yours is down. They did a state inspection and only failed my car for obvious issues and are very fair with there state inspections they don’t reach for problems that aren’t there or minor issues. Honest and good quality work. I’ve probably spent over $3k here in just the past month and wouldn’t mind spending another $3k especially me being a home mechanic and went too trade school for automotive technology I’d say they got my vote for the best automotive shop in Denton if not Caroline county. There staff are very kind and there techs are respectful too you and your vehicle. If you need a shop that will charge you fair prices for quality good work this is the place. Just don’t be surprised when you bring your 20 year old vehicle here and they give you the honest rundown on your $800 Craigslist purchase that you’ve bought an $800 car it’s 2026 and they got employees with families they aren’t trying too rip anyone off here.

Worst shop experience ever. I have all of my ASE's and I know what I am talking about when it comes to vehicles. I had to go back and forth about 10 times for the same problem that was fixed in the first place. The most ignorant and rude people to deal with ever. I will never advise anyone to get anything done here.

When our tire blew on the way home from vacation, we were stressed and honestly unsure how the day was going to end but this team completely changed the experience for the better. From the moment Mark (tow truck driver) arrived, the professionalism and customer service were top-tier. He made a stressful situation feel manageable, stayed patient through a change in our drop-off plans, and treated us like people, not just another call. Then we met Ms. Jordan and the crew, and that’s when things went from great to exceptional. They were incredibly accommodating, understanding, and truly went above and beyond to help us get back on track. You can tell they genuinely care about people, not just business. I don’t usually write long reviews, but this experience deserved one. If you ever find yourself in a pinch, I HIGHLY recommend them and their other business, Rescue Auto Rental of Denton. Honest, reliable, and customer-focused service from start to finish.

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. From the 1st phone call requesting help to the paying of the bill these people were awesome. Tow truck arrived (driven by a very competent and friendly driver) within 20 minutes. Salli was seen quickly, again by a friendly and knowledgeable mechanic. I was apprised of her condition as they worked on her. I didn’t expect them to love her like I do but I believe they did. She was wheeled out in a couple hrs, feeling like her old self. The charges were fair and reasonable. The clerk was so patient and sweet. Salli and I can 100% recommend Denton Auto Care.

Friendly & fast. They got me back on the road quickly when I had an emergency repair, finishing up before I was expecting so I could still make my trip. Rental car options on site. Everyone was nice & professional. Thank you DAC&T!

I was in Goodwill today in Denton and when I came out I had a flat tire. I called Denton auto care and asked if they could tow me and fix my tire. (My tires were about 3 months old). They sent a tow truck right away. The gentleman was very nice and loaded up my car. I rode with him to the shop. Come to find out I had a drill bit on the sidewall on the inside tread. The tire could not be fixed they were going to have to replace it. I told them to go ahead and do it. I was then told that they didn’t have the tire in stock. I explained to the ladies that I had no one close to pick me up, and with some hard work they were able to get me a tire and fixed my car. These people went above and beyond to help me out. From the tow truck driver to the ladies in the office and to whomever worked on my car. It was after all they had done that I told them that I had recently lost my husband. There are wonderful people in this world and I can’t thank them enough. You see I don’t live in Denton, I live in Chester, Maryland. I will forever be grateful for all the staff at Denton Auto Care and Tire. Thank you, thank you! Mary B

If you are looking for a shop with a huge lack of communication, a condescending manger, and overpriced repairs... this is the shop for you.

We had our 2016 Mini countryman in the shop after it broke down on us on the way home from ocean city. We had it towed in on a Monday morning early after calling to make sure they could take the car amd were also comfortable working on a MINI as some mechanics are not. They assured us they were comfortable and could take the the car and look at it the same day. We called after it was there for most of the day to check in to see what was found. Whoever we spoke to on thw phone jad no idea and said they would have someone call us back. We waited an additional 2 hours and no one called. It was now almost 2 hours before they closed. We had to call again to find out what was going on. They gave us a list of issues they found after diagnostics were run. They gave us a quote and told us it would be done by Wednesday likely. We gave the go ahead. Thursday came and we have not been contacted so we called and again had to be called back. No one called back so we had to call again. This was starting to feel uncomfortable now. Communication felt terrible. Then we were told they found a bunch more wrong wirh the car after they put it back together and what they already repaired did not actually fix the whole issue. So then we were given another quote for more repairs and they charged us an additional $500 in labor to take our car apart again. We found this ridiculous but agreed because we were kind of in a spot where we had no choice. We needed our car back. We made arrangements to get a part to them that was needed by early the following Monday because they're not open on the weekend. We called Tuesday about an hour before they closed. Again the person that answered couldn't tell us anything and said someone would call us back. Shocker.... no one called and ir was now 5 mins before close and we had to call again to be told oh yeah its finished. We had asked for a tire rotation which we were told couldn't happen bc supposedly our tires were worn unevenly on the back. Ok fine whatever. We asked if they could please loosen the lugs as they were over torqued from our last shop. Asked that they hand tighten them for us so we can do a brake job once we get it home. They say sure no problem. We arrive friday morning to pick up the car and pay our bill. We asked if they loosened the lugs and were told yes. Low and behold they were not loosened at all. I cant recommend this shop based on the terrible communication and the price gouge in labor costs. We won't be returning. They didn't really seem like they knew what to do wirh a MINI at all sadly. Our car was in the shop about 9 days which is a long time..... UPDATE: The Manager contacted us yesterday about the lug nuts and asked if we could bring the car in so they could loosen the lug nuts as promised during the time our car was in the shop. We came to the shop as asked only to be greeted by a very confrontational hostile manager (james) who only wanted to address our review. He proceeded to bully us to change the review or he was not going to loosen the lug nuts as promised.James continued to speak in a condescending manner stating that he felt the review was unfair. We were willing to have a conversation professionally about this in fact we never spoke disrespectful or raised our voice and stated that we would consider changing our review. This manager then spoke in a very disrespectful manner saying "then I will consider loosening your wheel bolts" this was enough for us to just turn and walk away. We were not treated professionally or respectfully. Had this gentleman not approached us the way he did and was more welcoming and apologetic, had he been more professional and taken the time to explain his side with out being disrespectful and condescending we would have gladly amended this review to reflect that. This was a terrible experience. 100% DO NOT recommend this shop.

Just came to visit cross-country from the PNW in my Subaru and got a code pop-up after crossing the Bay Bridge. They were able to provide quick, courteous service with spot-on findings and tangible next steps. Only reason I went to the dealership after was because it was covered by warranty, which they made me aware of too! Great local folks.

I had an emergency stop due to my car failing on a trip. I was two hours from home and needed attention quickly. My car was towed to Denton Auto Care, and they were extremely accommodating. They fit me into their already busy schedule. The work was great, and their people are very friendly. I was back on the road quickly, and the cost was very fair.

Denton Auto Care & Tire is fantastic!! Their team is professional, knowledgeable, honest, and kind! I came in without an appointment on my way home from the beach after realizing I had one tire rapidly losing air and another with a nail in it. They took my car back quickly and diagnosed the problem with my second tire right away. When it was determined I needed two new tires, they put my spare tire on and called other establishments close by to assess who had tires in stock so that I wouldn’t have to call around. Not being from the area, this was a HUGE help!! Their kindness and concern for my situation was beyond appreciated and I have no doubt they treat every customer with the same care and professionalism! If you are looking for a trusted establishment to service your vehicle, look no further!!!

Great customer service. Fast response to fixing my car. I stopped by that morning told them what I was told was wrong with it. They picked up the car and diagnosed it within the hour. Shop was great! They were able to get my company vehicle in last minute to do an oil change, brakes and plug a tire. Everyone was very friendly and definitely seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Will recommend to family and friends!

Recently had a vehicle break down while camping at the state park in Denton. We had it towed the Denton Auto care. The experience was good, they are professional, and they were so easy to work with which was refreshing especially with living 1.5 hours away. I would definitely recommend!!!

This is one of the best mechanic shops I have seen and over a decade. I am newer to Denton and was recommended the shop by someone and I am extremely grateful for the recommendation. Everyone that I have met that works at this shop is respectful patient understanding and breaks things down in Laymans terms for people that don't know mechanics. Holly recommended.

2nd car to get inspected by them. Got me in quick and completed affordable service repairs with estimates that make sense. Best of all I feel safer driving afterwards. Great communication as well.

I had a blowout on my way to a wedding in March. My car was towed to Denton Auto Care. This was after business hours. The people there were extremely helpful about purchasing a new tire of the same brand. They thoroughly inspected my car for any additional damage. Thankfully there was none. The tire had less than 1000 miles on it. The tire manufacturer was less than helpful concerning warranty claims for the tire. After a month and numerous phone calls by Clare , a customer service representative for DAC I was finally reimbursed for the tire. I can’t say enough about the friendly customer care. I would certainly recommend them for your car care. See less

If you want to be treated fairly, honestly, and like family, you found the right place. Fast, courteous, and great prices. Tony has put together a great team of professionals. Claire and James got me in and out with time to spare for an oil change, tire rotation, rear rotors, and brakes. Thanks to the entire shop staff for their fast clean service.

Went in today for an oil change. The tech checked my battery and said it was failing. I reminded them that I had bought the battery there in the last year or so. Cassandra verified that the battery was still under warranty. They replaced it immediately. Thanks for looking out for me.

Came for a service. Was told to call to schedule to have a full service done. Kept getting the run around for service. Instead of the company stating that they could not or would not like to perform the services I was told I would be contacted and was not. Other than not receiving a direct answer customer service was okay.

I took my F250 Diesel to them , they fixed my truck were very professional gave me estimate via text and would also call. the best part is they will call you a few days later and ask you if everything is still ok with the vehicle. Awesome job! Would recommend anyone looking to get repairs on vehicle done these folks can get it done for you ! I will be taking my vehicles to them for now on.

I was stranded on the side of the road from a 3 hour journey on my way to babysit my grandson, so my stepson and his wife could attend their Christmas gala where she was receiving an award. Woke up Sunday to a dead battery so after jump starting my F150 I took a drive to charge the battery. Well Monday morning it was dead again and not holding a charge. Called Denton Auto and talked to Cassandra, very helpful and polite. Told me to come right in and they replaced my battery ASAP and cost less than the cheapest battery at Advanced Auto. Been coming here for many years and great to see the new owners carrying on the customer service driven atmosphere. See less
